Married to a respiratory therapist and sleep tech for over 26 years... has made me passionate about quality sleep.
Tongue ties and obstructive sleep apnea are prevalent in my family and have had negative impacts on my entire life... making me passionate about helping people who struggle with sleep disorders.
My children have suffered from the impacts of orofacial-myo-DYS-functions, tongue ties and sleep disorders since infancy... making me passionate about helping recognize and treat dysfunction in children, for the sake and sanity of the whole family.
One of my daughters struggled with choking while nursing and terrible colic as an infant and then has struggled with chronic headaches for over 10 years with NO answers from the specialists ...until finding myo... making me passionate about helping people who struggle with chronic TMJ and head pain.
My granddaughter was released from the NICU with a feeding tube due to a checked yet undiagnosed tongue tie... making me passionate about helping providers and families recognize and get help to treat tongue ties (and all the difficulties that come with that)
I have spoken with hundreds of patients in my hygiene chair as well as friends and family, who all have stories that now, with myo, connects all the dots... making me passionate to help others find hope for restored health.
After spending hundreds of hours in doctors' offices and thousands of dollars trying to find answers for my daughter's chronic headaches, I was introduced to Myofunctional Therapy. The more I learned, the more answers I found not just for the headaches, but struggles from her entire life... along with the rest of my children and family and patients and friends. I finally found a POINT of HOPE, and I am passionate about sharing that with everyone else that is suffering!
